Rui Liu was born and raised in the wild and inaccessible mountains of Guizhou in southwest China, where the rich ecosystem and ethnic cultures have remained untouched for millennia.

Having lived in London for ten years, Rui wanted to share the stories of her people and their unshakeable commitment to natural produce, traditions and craftsmanship. Months spent with the masters and makers has led to the journey of Grass People Tree, sharing wild & indigenous teas, picked, prepared and shared the same way for centuries.

As Rui says: “Tea is merely the medium through which I hope to express authenticity, to reach out and to make a connection with the rest of the world.”

Grass People Tree invites you to share the inaccessible teas from 1500 year old wild tea trees, made by the master and villagers from the tribes. Learn about the ancient techniques and the health benefits of teas that are unknown to the western world. Help sustain the ancient craftsmanship
