KIN will be taking over the Arnolfini for a long weekend with a multi-room extravaganza of music, conversations, games, skill-sharing and theatrical explorations, with activist meet-ups, live art and wandering provocateurs. Each of the six rooms has a full programme, and the spaces have been uniquely designed with participation and connection in mind. Resilience & Renewal: dance, meditations & words – Camille Barton (Collective Liberation Project)
Buy tickets
Join Camille Barton of the Collective Liberation Project for Resilience and Renewal, a workshop on how to use mindfulness and art to sustain transformative activism and social justice work. In this experiential workshop, mindfulness, dance and group exercises will be used to explore how our meditation or art practise can become a strong foundation to support social justice work, such as anti-racism.
Camille will reference her life story, having grown up in a meditation cult and explore the phenomenon of spiritual bypassing, where spirituality is used as an excuse to avoid talking about difficult issues. Participants will leave with strategies to acknowledge issues of power and privilege and gain confidence to begin addressing this in daily life with self-awareness, compassion and creativity.
