KIN will be taking over the Arnolfini for a long weekend with a multi-room extravaganza of music, conversations, games, skill-sharing and theatrical explorations, with activist meet-ups, live art and wandering provocateurs. Each of the six rooms has a full programme, and the spaces have been uniquely designed with participation and connection in mind. Please note that capacities are limited for each room, so please arrive early to your chosen sessions to guarantee entry.

(Awesome Tapes From Africa)
Hailu’s first album in more than a decade “Lala Belu” has received rave reviews and press galore, including extensive pieces in The Guardian and The New York Times. This is a true story of survival and triumphant return to the music scene for one of Ethiopia’s leading performers – an instrumentalist who was forced into exile by a dictatorial regime hostile to the arts, and ended up driving cabs for almost 30 years.
We’re truly honoured to have Mergia joining us at KIN, to present more elegant excursions in Ethio-Jazz.
